Job summary

Ascend is seeking a Senior Tax Associate to prepare and review tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, trusts, and estates. You will work independently and with a team, and maintain direct client contact while meeting tight deadlines during tax season.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of tax experience and a Bachelor's degree (Masters/CPA preferred). The role offers an open, collaborative culture with opportunities for growth and a flexible work arrangement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree; Master’s/CPA preferred, not required.
• 2+ years of Tax experience
• Friendly, professional, highly organized and detail oriented
• Willing to embrace moments of pressure during busy season

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review tax returns for Individuals, Corporations, Partnerships, Trusts, and Estates.
• Work independently as well as within a team; direct client contact.
• Mentor Tax Associates; review data input and resolve issues.
• Communicate with managers/partners; meet deadlines during tax season.
• Understand federal, state, and local tax codes.
