Ever feel like you're becoming quite good at your job, but nobody above you has particularly noticed?
It's a fairly common problem in public accounting.
Especially in firms where there are so many layers of management that you barely know the Partners.
This opportunity is a little different.
You'll be joining an established CPA firm in Sugar Land that's big enough to offer interesting clients and proper resources, but small enough that the people running the firm actually know who you are.
Which is quite nice when you're trying to build a career.
You'll also get a good variety of work.
Individual, partnership, corporate and trust returns.
A mixture of preparation and review, alongside building client relationships and helping develop junior staff.
So you're not just sitting at your desk preparing the same returns every year.
There's room to develop technically, take on more responsibility and work towards management.
And the benefits?
Hybrid working, a competitive benefits package, retirement benefits, CPA support and continuing education.
You'll ideally have around 3 to 5 years of public accounting tax experience and either be working towards your CPA or already have it.
There will be busy periods, of course.
It's still tax.
But you'll be working with an experienced team and have opportunities to keep progressing.
Sometimes the biggest difference between 2 firms isn't the work you're doing.
It's whether anyone's helping you get to where you want to go next.
And that seems like a fairly good reason to explore your options.
Here's the part most people get wrong: you don’t need to tick every box to introduce yourself.
