Job summary

Lally & Co, LLC in Pittsburgh, PA is seeking a Tax Senior Associate to join our growing firm. You will assist Managers and Partners with complex tax projects, prepare returns for federal and state taxes, and coordinate audits.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in accounting, a bachelor's in accounting, is eligible to sit for the CPA exam, and can work independently while meeting deadlines and maintaining high service standards.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and eligible to sit for the CPA exam.
• Reliable, strong work ethic, ability to prioritize to meet tight deadlines, and a commitment to exceptional client service, and ability to work as a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to organize questions and proactively interact with senior level staff.
• CPA or EA license is strongly preferred.
• A working knowledge of ProSystem fx Tax or Axcess Tax is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of complex business, individual, and trust tax returns for Federal and various states.
• Coordinate IRS and state tax audits as well as responding to tax notices.
• Utilize research skills to resolve client tax and accounting issues.
• Prepare tax appeals and other related documents for various taxing jurisdictions.

The Tax Senior Associate will be responsible for assisting the Managers and Partners with various tax projects.
