Job summary

FairchildHR is looking for a Tax Senior in Northeast Florida who will prepare and review complex returns for individuals, partnerships, S-corps, and corporations. You will identify tax-saving opportunities and discuss them with clients in plain language.

You’ll collaborate with managers and partners on large engagements, answer technical questions, and mentor newer staff while staying current with tax changes. The firm emphasizes client service and long-term relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• CPA or EA preferred

A well-established CPA firm in Northeast Florida is hiring a Tax Senior. The firm has served privately held businesses, entrepreneurs, and high-net-worth families for over 20 years, and it’s known for personal service and long client relationships.

This is a role for someone who wants more than tax season volume. You’ll handle complex returns, advise clients directly, and have a clear career path to Manager and Partner.

The Work

• Prepare and review complex individual, partnership, S-Corp, and corporate returns
• Find tax-saving opportunities and explain them to clients in plain terms
• Work closely with managers and partners on larger engagements
• Answer technical questions and help newer staff learn
• Keep up with federal, state, and local tax changes

What We're Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
• 3+ years of recent public accounting tax experience
• CPA or EA preferred
• Solid knowledge of partnership and S-Corp taxation
• Good judgment and the ability to manage several deadlines at once
• CCH Axcess, QuickBooks, and Excel experience is a plus
