Job summary

Distinct North America in the United States is seeking a Tax Senior who can grow into a Partner role. You’ll take ownership, build client relationships, and contribute to strategic decisions while managing a steady, referral-driven book.

The work spans 1040s, trusts and estates, and client businesses from roughly $300k to $14m in revenue. Expect sensible processes, AI-assisted prep, and a busy season around 55 hours with 2,080 annual hours.

The work covers 1040s, trusts and estates, and businesses from around $300k to $14m in revenue. Trusts and estates are growing particularly quickly, so there's plenty of room to develop a niche there if it interests you.

They're also pretty sensible about how the work gets done. They've used AI tools for the last 4 tax seasons and have outsourced preparation support, leaving you to spend more time reviewing, advising clients and doing the work that actually requires your brain.

Busy season is around 55 hours, with annual hours capped at 2,080.

• You'll also get $2,000 annual employer HSA contribution, up to 4% 401(k) match, $850 per month toward health insurance and discretionary bonuses twice a year.

This probably suits someone from a similar sized CPA firm who's technically strong, comfortable with clients and starting to think, “I'd quite like to help build something rather than just work in it.”
