Responsibilities:
- Identifying U.S. federal or state & local tax issues related to new business initiatives, as well as tax automation systems
- Researching federal or state and local income tax issues
- Preparing detailed written tax guidance and requirements for the new projects
- Managing the analysis and documentation of tax implications of new business issues
- Research and analyze tax planning ideas to determine impacts for U.S. income tax reporting
- Keeping up-to-date on tax law and the organizational impact of changes
- Training and mentoring team members
- Special projects as needed
Required skills:
- BS/BA degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent experience
- 3 or more years of U.S. tax experience with a public accounting firm and/or multinational corporation
- CPA required
- Advanced knowledge of tax accounting, audit process, and tax law
- Experience with preparing complicated tax returns for corporate
- Detail-oriented, organized and able to deliver on tight timelines
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word
- Be able to work with a multicultural team and be patient and understanding
- Be able to work with a fast paced start-up
