Job summary

MBC Talent Connections is seeking a Tax Senior in Fort Myers, FL to prepare and review complex tax returns for individuals, high-net-worth clients, and businesses. This role blends technical tax expertise with client advisory services and teamwork.

You will mentor junior staff, stay updated on tax law changes, and collaborate across the firm to deliver comprehensive tax planning and execution. On-site role with strong growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of public accounting or tax experience.
• Experience preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns.
• Expertise in corporate and partnership tax preparation.
• Knowledge of partnerships, corporations, trusts, estates, and high-net-worth individual taxation.
• Understanding of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• CPA certification preferred; CPA eligibility acceptable.
• Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills.
• Attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns (individual, C-Corporation, S-Corporation, partnership, trust, and estate)
• Manage multiple tax engagements while meeting deadlines and client expectations
• Provide tax planning, research, and advisory services
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and develop client-specific strategies
• Support clients with tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Collaborate with accounting and advisory team members
• Stay current on tax law changes at all levels
• Mentor junior and staff-level tax professionals
