The role requires CPA preferred and at least 3 years in public accounting, with opportunities for advancement and a strong focus on accuracy and client service during peak tax season.

Qualifications

• Proficiency with computer tax programs, spreadsheets, and word processing.
• Current knowledge of accounting principles and federal, state, and local tax regulations.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review complex Form 1040 returns and related schedules.
• Lead and train Staff and In-Charge personnel; review work and provide feedback.
• Develop and implement tax planning strategies with the team.
• Respond to IRS/state notices and manage post-filing activities.
• Meet deadlines within budget; coordinate peak tax season planning.
• Maintain knowledge of tax laws and perform tax research as needed.
