SOUND DECISIONS is seeking a Senior Accountant to lead tax preparation and consultation as we expand services in tax prep, financial planning, trusts, estates, and investment management. You will prepare returns for individuals and small partnerships across multiple states, work directly with clients, and stay current on tax laws to provide strategies and planning recommendations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required.
• CPA or EA certification required, with focus on tax return preparation.
• Strong knowledge of individual and corporate tax laws across jurisdictions.
• Proficiency with ProSystem FX, Drake, or QuickBooks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns for individuals and small businesses across multiple states.
• Work directly with clients on data collection and communication.
• Stay current on tax laws and communicate strategies to clients.
• Assist with tax planning and recommend tax optimization strategies.
• Coordinate with advisors on tax and wealth management planning.
