Job summary

H&R Block is seeking a year-round Block Advisor Tax Advisor in Fort Myers, FL to help clients navigate complex tax and business scenarios. You will prepare accurate returns, interview clients, and build lasting relationships using training and technology.

You'll deliver personalized tax guidance, identify savings opportunities, provide IRS support, and collaborate with a local team in a client-focused office. This in-person role offers a competitive hourly rate and incentive plan based on impact.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of the H&R Block Tax Knowledge Assessment.
• 5+ years of experience in tax preparation, accounting, finance, or bookkeeping.
• Experience preparing complex individual and business returns and providing audit support.

Responsibilities

• Prepare complete, accurate tax returns for clients with diverse and complex tax situations.
• Conduct in-depth client interviews to understand financial situations and tax implications; provide personalized recommendations.
• Build year-round client relationships by delivering empathetic, consultative service and identifying tax savings opportunities.
• Provide IRS support, tax notice assistance, and audit guidance as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to maintain a positive, client-focused office environment.
