Job summary

Goodwin Recruiting is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant to join its growing tax team. This role focuses on preparing returns and building strong client relationships in a collaborative environment.

You will handle individual and business returns, communicate tax planning ideas, and work with QuickBooks, Lacerte, and Canopy to deliver comprehensive service. Hybrid work arrangement after busy season.

Qualifications

• CPA license strongly preferred; candidates near CPA considered.
• Experience preparing individual and business tax returns.
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and QuickBooks Desktop required.
• Experience with Lacerte required.
• Experience with Canopy tax software is a plus.
• Strong communication and client service skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities during busy tax seasons.
• High level of professionalism, accuracy, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review individual and business tax returns, including Form 1040, S Corp, LLC/partnership, and trusts.
• Communicate with clients regarding tax planning and return preparation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships while providing outstanding service.
• Collaborate with bookkeeping and wealth management teams to ensure a seamless client experience.
• Identify opportunities for clients to benefit from additional financial services and make internal referrals where appropriate.
