Blue & Co., LLC is seeking a Senior Tax Accountant for Exempt Organizations to deliver tax compliance and consulting to foundations and other exempt entities from Carmel, IN. You will lead client engagements, prepare 990/990-T/990-PF returns, and research issues, while collaborating with our exempt organizations specialists.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required.
• CPA license or active progress toward CPA licensure preferred.
• 2+ years of public accounting or related tax experience.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
• Ability to travel locally with occasional overnight travel (less than 5%).

Responsabilités

• Prepare federal, state, and local tax returns for exempt organizations (990, 990-T, 990-PF).
• Assist with tax consulting projects and planning engagements.
• Research federal and state tax issues affecting exempt organizations.
• Prepare workpapers and documentation in line with firm standards.
• Communicate with clients to obtain information and resolve issues.
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices.
• Manage multiple client engagements and deadlines.
• Utilize tax software and technology to improve efficiency.
• Stay current on exempt organization tax developments.
• Collaborate with the exempt organization tax team.
