Navigate Search is seeking an experienced Senior Tax Accountant to join our Nashville team. The role emphasizes tackling complex tax engagements, expanding client interaction, and continuing advancement within public accounting.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years of public accounting tax experience, a Bachelor's degree in Accounting, and CPA progress or license. You will prepare, review, and research federal and state returns while mentoring junior staff.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field.
• Experience preparing complex individual and/or business tax returns.
• Strong understanding of federal and state taxation.
• CPA license or progress toward CPA preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, S corporations, and corporations
• Handle increasingly complex tax compliance and planning engagements
• Research federal, state, and local tax issues
• Assist with quarterly and year-end tax planning and projections
• Communicate directly with clients regarding tax matters and information requests
• Identify potential tax-saving opportunities and provide recommendations
• Review work prepared by junior staff and provide guidance when needed
• Collaborate with managers and partners throughout client engagements
• Manage multiple engagements and deadlines during busy season
