Position Summary:

The Senior Tax Associate is responsible for delivering high-quality tax compliance and advisory services to clients across various industries. This position offers the opportunity to work remotely while engaging in meaningful client service and professional development in a dynamic, team-oriented environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review complex federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
• Assist in tax planning and consulting projects for a diverse client base.
• Conduct tax research and draft memorandums to support tax positions.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, address inquiries, and provide updates.
• Collaborate with managers and partners on client engagements and workflow management.
• Identify tax-saving opportunities and process improvements for clients.
• Stay current on tax law changes and industry trends.
• Mentor and support junior staff through technical guidance and on-the-job training.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required; Master’s in Taxation a plus.
• CPA license (or CPA eligible and actively pursuing).
• 2+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
• Strong technical knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations.
• Experience with tax software (e.g., CCH Axcess, ProSystem fx, or similar platforms).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management abilities in a remote work environment.
• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively within a virtual team.
