Our organization is looking for a full time Senior Tax Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, highly motivated, have excellent organizational skills and the ability to meet deadlines. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting is required. A successful candidate will also have the ability to work independently or in a team environment. Two to three years experience at a public accounting firm required.

Responsibilities:

• Compliance with firm policies and procedures
• Prepare federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, LLCs, fiduciaries, S and C Corps
• Prepare projections for year-end tax strategies
• Maintain general ledger accounts and financial records
• Prepare year-end closings (including journal entries)
• Respond to IRS and state tax notices
• Perform reviews and compilations of financial statements
• Communicate directly with clients and build client relationships

Skills:

• Excellent computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Teams and Outlook
• Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing
• Experience with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
• Experience with Lacerte Tax, a plus
• Experience with Xero, a plus
