Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Master's degree a plus.
  • Active CPA or EA certification strongly preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with at least 3 years on individual returns.
  • Experience with business return preparation a strong plus.
  • Proficiency in state/local, federal tax, tax preparation, and income tax.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong knowledge of tax software and Microsoft Office.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

Job Details

We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Senior Tax Accountant to join our dynamic Accounting and Finance team. This is a permanent, full-time position that offers a unique opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients and gain exposure to a variety of industries. The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing federal, state, and local income tax returns for both individuals and businesses. ( Strong experience with individual returns is a must)

Responsibilities
  1. Preparing and reviewing federal and state income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, corporations, and S Corporations.
  2. Conducting thorough research to optimize tax strategies and ensure compliance with state and local tax laws.
  3. Assisting clients with tax planning and providing expert advice on tax-related matters.
  4. Identifying and mitigating tax risks and liabilities.
  5. Collaborating with internal teams to streamline tax processes and improve efficiency.
  6. Staying up-to-date on current tax practices and changes in tax laws.
  7. Providing support during tax audits and liaising with tax authorities as needed.
  8. Mentoring and guiding junior staff members, fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment.
Qualifications
  1. A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  2. Active CPA or EA certification is strongly preferred.
  3. A minimum of 5 years of experience in tax accounting, with at least 3 years of recent and extensive experience preparing individual tax returns and forms.
  4. Experience with business return preparation is a strong plus.
  5. Proficiency in state and local tax, federal and state tax, tax preparation, and income tax. .
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  7. Strong knowledge of tax software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  8. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  9. Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
  10. High level of integrity and professionalism.
