Job summary

Atrium is seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee tariff accounting for international logistics and cross-border shipments. You will manage tariff accruals, journal entries, and reconciliations, ensuring accuracy across SAP postings and supplier invoices.

The role emphasizes month-end close, internal controls, and collaboration with multiple departments to resolve discrepancies and improve reporting processes. A CPA or progress toward CPA is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5–10+ years of progressive accounting experience in manufacturing, supply chain, logistics, or multi-entity corporate accounting environment.
• Experience with tariff accounting, tariff-related accruals and payments, customs broker reconciliations, or accounting for cross-border shipments and international trade.
• Strong understanding of general accounting principles, journal entries, accruals, general ledger maintenance, month-end close, and balance sheet reconciliations.
• Experience preparing financial reports, analyzing account activity, researching variances, and resolving complex reconciliation discrepancies.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including large data set analysis and cross-report reconciliation.

Responsibilities

• Manage tariff accounting activities related to international logistics and cross-border shipments, including tracking shipments, calculating tariff accruals, journal entries, reclassifications, and period-end adjustments.
• Perform three-way reconciliations of tariff-related payments, internal shipment reporting, and customs broker reports to validate charges and resolve discrepancies.
• Reconcile trade shipment costs, customs broker charges, SAP postings, vendor invoices, and tariff payments, investigating differences and completing outstanding items.
• Analyze large data sets in SAP/Excel to identify discrepancies and support accurate financial reporting.
• Support month-end/period-end close activities, including G/L maintenance, balance sheet reconciliations, and accruals.
• Collaborate with International Logistics, Corporate Accounting, Sales, A/P, Procurement, Treasury, and vendors to resolve tariff and shipment accounting issues.
• Maintain audit-ready documentation and IFRS financial reporting compliance.
