Job summary

GovSG in Huntsville, AL is seeking a detail-driven Senior Targets Production Engineer to verify that missile flight hardware and propulsion systems are designed, fabricated, integrated, and tested to baseline standards. You will review prime contractor design and manufacturing processes and enforce compliance with mission assurance frameworks such as AIAA S-113 and related standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in STEM and 7+ years on DoD/missile defense programs.
• Strong knowledge of AIAA S-113 and related standards.
• Experience interpreting drawings, ECOs/ECPs, and manufacturing instructions.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for high-level briefings.

Responsibilities

• Audit designs, drawings, processes to verify flight-worthiness against baseline specs.
• Apply AIAA S-113 and related standards to assess hardware and subsystems.
• Participate in baseline reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, MRR, FRR) with objective evidence.
• Oversee MRB/FRB dispositions and CAPA actions.
• Review QTPs/ATPs and serve as on-site witness during testing.
• Lead IPT meetings with supplier partners to align schedules and resolve issues.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
