Job summary

Astrion is hiring an Advanced Target Engineer in Huntsville, AL to support the Missile Defense Agency’s Director of Test at the Von Braun Complex. The role focuses on assembling, integrating, and testing air-launched targets from a C-17 and coordinating forward staging areas at Redstone Arsenal.

The position requires a MA/MS in a related field (or BA/BS with additional experience) and at least 10 years of relevant work, with eligibility for a SECRET clearance. Travel up to 30% is expected.

Qualifications

• MA/MS in a related field or BA/BS with five years of relevant experience.
• At least 10 years of recent relevant experience.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
• Experience in fast-paced professional environments and deadline-driven settings.
• Proficient with MS Office tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, MS Teams).
• Ability to work in a dynamic team and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Support Target Test Directorate with assembly, integration and testing of MDA targets.
• Coordinate flight test activities for air-launched targets from a C-17.
• Engage with range and test planning meetings and safety groups.
• Develop and maintain documentation for forward staging areas and infrastructure.
• Assist in contract documentation and program office coordination.
