Job summary

A1 Garage Door Service is seeking an experienced Talent Scout to build a confidential, targeted pipeline of skilled garage door technicians nationwide. This is a direct sourcing and recruiting role focused on named competitor companies, candidate list leads, and building new relationships within the trade.

As a discreet, relationship-driven recruiter you will conduct outreach via phone, email, and social platforms, qualify candidates, coordinate interviews, and help close hires through start

Qualifications

• Proven recruiting, sourcing, or executive recruiting experience required.
• Experience in trades, home services, HVAC/plumbing/electrical, or automotive recruiting preferred.
• Agency experience required.
• Comfortable with high-volume cold outreach and rejection; persistent and self-motivated.
• Strong verbal communication and negotiation skills; able to build trust with blue-collar tradespeople.
• Familiarity with garage door industry or ability to learn quickly.

Responsibilities

• Targeted competitor sourcing: directly approach technicians at provided target companies and competitors.
• Candidate list cultivation and inbound sourcing: work through provided lists and expand with industry contacts.
• Direct outreach and relationship building: reach out via phone, text, email, and social platforms; build rapport to understand goals and compensation expectations.
• Pitching and positioning: communicate the company's value proposition versus competitors.
• Screening and qualification: pre-screen candidates for relevant experience, driving record, and fit.
• Pipeline and funnel management: maintain an organized pipeline in Ashby with notes and next steps; weekly reporting.
• Interview and offer coordination: schedule interviews, prepare candidates, and support offer negotiations.
• Compliance and discretion: operate within legal boundaries and maintain confidentiality about lists and compensation.
