Shield AI in Seattle is seeking a Senior Executive Sourcer who lives and breathes talent discovery. You will translate complex engineering needs into precision sourcing strategies across Aerospace, Autonomy, AI, and advanced hardware teams.

As a strategic partner to recruiters and hiring leaders, you will leverage AI tools, market intelligence, and scalable sourcing practices to identify and hire world-class engineering talent.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technical sourcing experience in aerospace, defense, or complex hardware/software roles.
• Market mapping, competitive intelligence, and candidate generation for specialized roles.
• Proficient with LinkedIn Recruiter, HireEZ, SeekOut, ClearanceJobs, GitHub, and related tools.
• Act as a consultative partner to recruiters, hiring managers, and senior engineers.
• Experience building AI-powered sourcing workflows and automation.
• Experience using AI development environments or coding assistants for sourcing.
• Ability to cultivate long-term relationships with passive, cleared, or niche talent.
• Excellent communication and storytelling to engage technical candidates and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Own the top of funnel: define target profiles and build data-informed sourcing strategies.
• Map the market by company, geography, and structure to inform recruiting plans.
• Generate and engage candidates using advanced sourcing channels and tools.
• Build proactive pipelines with cleared and specialized engineering talent.
• Leverage AI to scale sourcing workflows and improve efficiency.
• Create repeatable sourcing systems and market maps for Talent Acquisition.
• Coach recruiters and hiring managers on market insights and strategy.
• Collaborate with Talent Acquisition Operations, Employer Brand, and Engineering leaders.
• Track analytics, measure sourcing effectiveness, and iterate approaches.
