Responsibilities
  • Collaborate and consult with hiring managers to understand business recruitment needs and develop sourcing strategies to attract candidates. Serve as a Talent Acquisition Ambassador when developing connections with candidates, management, and peers. Manage the full recruiting life cycle.
  • Leadership and Direction: Receive broad guidance relating to overall key objectives and policy matters, apply extensive knowledge to assignments, and review work produced by staff for quality assurance.
  • Operational and Company Level: Network and build long-lasting relationships with key candidate communities for short/long-term staffing opportunities. Consult with hiring managers to understand business requirements and functions in need of establishing or enhancing a pipeline of candidates.
  • Do the Work: Exhibit passion for and possess substantive experience leading all facets of recruiting. Collaborate with HR Business Partners to define internal roles and obtain job clarity. Source candidate leads, identify, screen, interview, and close candidates in a highly competitive marketplace. Provide strategic insight and metrics for recruiting. Provide timely, accurate measurement tools to gauge success of placements, hiring diversity goals, and client satisfaction. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of organizational policy and industry competitors. May participate in college recruitment programs. Partner with hiring managers to understand current and anticipate future hiring needs. Manage and leverage social media to generate candidate pipeline. Work with others to promote Bowman’s employment brand.

Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Communications, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Eight or more (8+) years experience conducting full cycle recruiting in a technical environment (engineering, design, project management). Prior experience recruiting in AEC industry highly desired.
  • Excellent relationship building and influencing skills; able to influence and partner at all levels.
  • Ability to manage an average of 30+ open positions simultaneously.
  • Demonstrated success sourcing and recruiting for hard-to-fill and specialized technical engineering roles. Experience developing strategies to identify and attract passive candidates.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; browser applications; ATS/HRIS experience (UKG and iCMS strongly preferred).
  • Understanding of EEO legislation, OFCCP compliance in recruitment and employment requirements, and other staffing laws.
Physical Demands and Working Environment
  • May be eligible for hybrid or remote work arrangements.
  • Primarily indoor professional office environment; varying light, noise, fumes, odors, and traffic.
  • Mobility around an office environment; frequent use of standard office equipment.
  • Occasional lifting or carrying up to 20 pounds; occasional pushing or pulling up to 20 pounds; occasional reaching outward or above shoulder.
