Apple, Inc. in Santa Clara, CA seeks a Senior Tactile Research Engineer for Special Projects (Robotics) to push the boundaries of perception, control, and intelligence within intelligent robotic systems.

You will lead cross-disciplinary teams, explore novel sensing and actuation technologies, and shape architectures from sensing to deployment, contributing to products powering the Apple ecosystem.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in complex mechatronic or robotic systems.
• Experience with sensing, actuation, controls, and system integration.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary projects and teams.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Physics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead the exploration of novel sensing and actuation technologies.
• Define and evaluate robotic system architectures spanning sensing, actuation, and controls.
• Guide multidisciplinary teams through prototyping, validation, and deployment.
• Collaborate with partners and researchers on novel technology applications.
• Support technical planning and development and drive strategy for next-generation robotic platforms.
