Job summary

Anduril Industries is seeking a Software Engineer for the Tactical Networking Team in California. You will design and implement Layer 3 networking for DDIL environments, integrating radio and satellite transports and creating secure, zero-trust communications across the mesh.

You will work on PKI, cryptography, QoS, observability (Prometheus/Grafana), and debugging from field deployments to cloud infrastructure. U.S. Secret clearance is required; location in Costa Mesa, CA.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience.
• Proficiency in a systems programming language (Rust, C, C++, or Go).
• Strong understanding of Layer 3 networking: IP routing, tunneling, TCP/UDP, sockets.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement Layer 3 networking for DDIL environments—VPN tunnel management, dynamic routing, and multi-path failover.
• Build radio integration layers to abstract diverse tactical waveforms.
• Design QoS scheduling and traffic shaping for mission-critical data under bandwidth constraints.
• Develop network management/orchestration systems for real-time topology configuration.
• Architect PKI infrastructure and certificate lifecycle management for the mesh.
