Job Summary:

As a Senior SQL/T-SQL Developer, you will be responsible for converting and migrating data from one POS system’s database to another using SQL Server. This involves extracting, transforming, and loading (ETL) data, optimizing SQL queries, ensuring data integrity, and implementing seamless data conversions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including business analysts, developers, and data architects to ensure the conversion process is efficient, accurate, and aligned with business goals.

Key Job Responsibilities:

• Lead and contribute to the data conversion between two POS systems within SQL Server environments.
• Develop T-SQL scripts and stored procedures to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data between source and target POS databases.
• Map data between source and target schemas, ensuring all business logic, data integrity, and conversion rules are correctly applied.
• Perform data validation and quality checks to ensure successful conversion of transactional and master data.
• Optimize SQL queries and stored procedures to improve performance during the conversion process.
• Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define clear conversion requirements, timelines, and milestones.
• Work with the testing team to conduct unit, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT) for data accuracy and completeness.
• Maintain detailed documentation of the data mapping, conversion process, and migration steps.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve issues related to data conversion, performance, and data integrity.
• Support post-conversion validation and troubleshooting to ensure smooth transition and minimal downtime.
• Monitor and report on the progress of the data conversion, ensuring on-time delivery.
