Job summary

EPRI’s Transmission and Distribution Environmental Solutions Program investigates technologies and methods to design, site, construct, and manage T&D systems with an emphasis on environmental impact and resource protection.

We seek an environmental scientist skilled in wildlife management, remote sensing (UAS), data analysis and programming (R/Python), GIS, and clear written and verbal communication; electric utility experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field; equivalent experience considered.
• 10+ years of relevant engineering or research experience.
• Graduate degree preferred (master or PhD).
• Electric utility experience is a plus.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Works independently on technical activities without direct supervision.
• Handles highly specialized technical objectives with creative problem solving.
• Maintains familiarity with progress and problems in assigned technical areas.
• Oversees project teams to meet milestones and maintain budget.
• Organizes external and interdepartmental activities to complete projects on schedule.
