Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Staff Systems Verification Engineer to join our team. You will partner with cross-functional product development to verify new IVD products, prioritize risk-based testing, and drive robust test automation frameworks.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in EE, ME, or related engineering discipline.
• 10+ years of development and/or testing experience.
• 5+ years testing experience in medical device development or regulated industry.
• Experience leading testing activities.
• Experience testing analog and digital/real-time embedded devices.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Good team player and leader.

Responsibilities

• Drives architectural design and test automation for functional and reliability testing of medical devices.
• Leverages AI-driven tools to accelerate verification test case development.
• Maintains and versions automation framework code with Git and Bitbucket.
• Uses Jama Connect for requirements, test cases, and traceability.
• Analyzes requirements from a systems perspective and guides projects.
• Authors Verification Test Plans, Protocols, and Reports for standards compliance.
• Provides technical leadership across software, electrical, mechanical disciplines.
• Defines work breakdown structures, estimates, and progress tracking to meet milestones.
• Collaborates with cross-functional teams for root-cause analysis and design reviews.
• Participates in candidate interviews and drives continuous process improvement.
