Job summary

Werfen is seeking a Staff Systems Verification Engineer to partner with cross-functional product teams, driving the design, deployment, and use of robust test automation for regulated medical device software and hardware. The role includes mentoring verification engineers, contributing to design reviews, and ensuring compliance with medical device quality standards.

The annual base salary ranges from $150,000 to $185,000 and includes medical, dental, vision insurance and a 401(k) with employer

Qualifications

• BS/BA in EE, ME or related engineering discipline required.
• 10+ years development and/or testing experience in industry.
• 5+ years testing experience in medical device development or other regulated industry.
• Experience leading testing activities.
• Experience elicitation, writing and traceability of system/subsystem requirements.
• Broad technical understanding across electrical, mechanical, software disciplines.
• Familiarity with reliability testing.

Responsibilities

• Drives architectural design and development of robust test automation for medical devices.
• Leverages AI-driven tools to accelerate verification test case development.
• Maintains versioned automation framework code using Git/Bitbucket.
• Uses Jama Connect for requirements management and testing traceability.
• Leads verification activities across software, electrical, mechanical and analytical disciplines.
• Creates work breakdown structures and tracks progress to meet milestones.
• Collaborates across teams for root-cause analysis and design reviews.
