Job summary

Modern Government Solutions (MGS) is seeking a Systems Test Engineer to plan, execute, and validate the performance, reliability, and security of mission-critical systems supporting national security operations. The ideal candidate combines strong analytical skills with hands-on experience developing and executing comprehensive test strategies across complex, integrated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• Professional certifications such as ISTQB or CompTIA Security+ are required.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute test plans, procedures, and cases for system validation and verification in cloud-based classified information systems.
• Evaluate system performance, functionality, and interoperability across hardware, software, and network components.
• Collaborate with systems engineers, developers, and security teams to define test objectives and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct integration, regression, and performance testing to identify and resolve defects early in the lifecycle.
• Support test environment setup, configuration, and data preparation.
• Document test results, anomalies, and recommendations in support of engineering and accreditation processes.
• Participate in technical reviews, readiness assessments, and system acceptance testing.
• Provide feedback to engineering teams on design improvements and operational risks.
• Maintain traceability between requirements, test cases, and results to ensure comprehensive coverage.
• Support automation of test processes where feasible to improve efficiency and repeatability.
