Job summary

One Stop Systems, Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems and Test Engineer in Escondido, CA, to architect and validate rugged server designs and lead extensive testing for AI/ML workloads. The role reports to the Engineering Manager and offers a competitive benefits package.

You will drive design verification, collaborate across engineering teams, and manage test plans to ensure reliability in demanding edge environments. Requires 7+ years in a related field and strong Linux, PCIe/NVMe experience.

Qualifications

• BS in Systems, Electrical, Computer Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of relevant experience.
• Ability to work in a team environment and meet schedules.
• Strong proficiency in Linux/Unix environments and CLI.
• Understanding of PCIe, NVMe, and high-speed interconnects.
• Experience developing and maintaining automated test scripts (Python, Bash).

Responsibilities

• Architect high-performance rugged servers around product or customer requirements.
• Manage risk and perform root cause analysis—implementing corrective actions.
• Validate OSS hardware with CPUs/GPUs and NVMe within ruggedized chassis.
• Design verification test plans and technical reports for high-bandwidth systems.
• Lead Thermal, Vibration, and Shock testing.
• Collaborate with Electrical and Mechanical Engineering for hardware revisions.
