Qualifications

• 10+ years in software/system test engineering or related field.
• Experience with distributed databases and data systems.
• Strong Python and systems language programming.
• Ability to own ambiguous projects and prioritize risk.
• Experience using AI tooling in daily engineering work.

Responsibilities

• Define and drive system-level testing across correctness, reliability, scalability, and performance.
• Build automated test frameworks and workloads for ingestion, concurrent reads/writes, indexing, querying, and maintenance.
• Validate data integrity and resiliency under concurrency, retries, failures, and recovery; develop fault-injection tests.
• Design load, stress, and soak tests; identify regressions in latency, throughput, and resource usage.
• Test upgrades and compatibility to ensure predictable behavior during evolution.
• Collaborate with engineers to diagnose failures using logs, metrics, traces, and source code; drive fixes.
• Develop reproducible test environments and integrate checks into CI and release workflows.
• Use AI coding assistants and related tools to develop test harnesses and accelerate debugging.
