Job summary

Waymo LLC is seeking a qualified Systems Engineer in Mountain View to support release-critical tests, build health check pipelines, and maintain testing infrastructure for vehicle platforms. This role follows a hybrid work schedule and reports to an Engineering Manager.

Applicants should have a Bachelor's degree in Engineering, CS, or Robotics and 5+ years in SRE/QA/test software, with strong debugging, coding and communication skills. Preferred experience in robotics/autonomous vehicles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Robotics, or related field.
• 5+ years of Site Reliability Engineering, QA engineering, Software Development in Test, or equivalent.
• Excellent debugging and coding skills with a passion for preventing issues.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure release-critical tests execute on time and remain healthy.
• Build health check pipelines and maintain testing infrastructure for multiple vehicle platforms.
• Debug pipeline failures with cross-team collaboration to identify root causes.
• Execute retrospectives and actively reduce technical debt.
• Work across testing methodologies including collision avoidance, rules of the road, perception, fault protection, and more.
