Job summary

Jobgether seeks a seasoned systems professional in the United States to provide specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines. You will analyze complex problems, support operations, and plan for hardware and software upgrades.

The role requires strong troubleshooting, documentation, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining accuracy and reliability.

Qualifications

• At least 8 years of relevant professional experience in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Information Technology, or a related field.
• An active IT-II security clearance or a current NACLC.
• U.S. citizenship and the ability to meet federal background screening requirements, including a clear criminal history and no recent bankruptcies.
• Strong technical knowledge across systems and software disciplines.
• Experience analyzing and supporting systems software, including troubleshooting, development, testing, integration, and user support.
• Familiarity with software configuration, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience with operating systems planning, performance analysis, capacity planning, or hardware upgrades is an advantage.
• Ability to work from technical specifications to develop or modify operating system applications.
• Knowledge of software design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and technical documentation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex technical issues.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for working with technical teams and customers.
• Ability to work independently with minimal direction while maintaining accuracy, reliability, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialized expertise across multiple systems and software disciplines, considering the implications of related technologies and applications.
• Perform in-depth analysis and technical support for systems software products, including complex problem resolution, design, development, testing, operational integration, and user support.
• Assist with planning and implementing the introduction or conversion of new hardware and software products.
• Maintain, debug, and configure software products to support reliable system operations.
• Plan and evaluate operating systems, including performance analysis, capacity planning, and hardware upgrade requirements.
• Develop or modify operating system applications based on technical specifications.
• Contribute to software design, coding, benchmark testing, debugging, and program documentation.
• Collaborate with system support teams to resolve technical issues, establish standards, and improve operating system efficiency.
• Prepare and maintain accurate product and technical documentation.
• Engage with customers to gather information about system requirements, operational needs, and technical problems.
• Identify opportunities to improve system performance, reliability, and overall operational effectiveness.
