Job summary

SNC is seeking a Senior Systems Security Engineer to lead the design and implementation of secure IT infrastructure, perform advanced threat analysis, and manage incident response and forensics. The role requires active TS clearance and experience with NIST/ISO 27001.

The candidate will conduct risk assessments, enforce security controls, and mentor junior engineers, with potential for hybrid work in a defense-focused environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Systems Security, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or related Engineering discipline.
• 8+ years of experience in IT security or a related field.
• In the absence of a degree, a minimum of 12 years of related experience is required.
• Expert understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices.
• Experience with security frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO 27001.
• Current/Active Top Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and implementation of secure IT infrastructure.
• Perform advanced security monitoring and threat analysis.
• Direct and manage complex incident response and digital forensics.
• Conduct in-depth risk and vulnerability assessments.
• Develop and enforce comprehensive security controls and protocols.
• Research, evaluate, and recommend new security technologies.
• Oversee security breach documentation and impact analysis.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior security engineers.
