Job summary

Shield AI is seeking a Senior Staff Systems Security Engineer focused on Program Protection, Anti-Tamper, and CPI to support next-gen autonomous military aircraft and mission systems. You will guide CPI assessments, threat analyses, and protection architectures across SEIT, collaborating with hardware, software, and government stakeholders.

Lead protection strategy and verification efforts, drive requirements, and ensure traceability through design, integration, and fielding.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (EE, CE, CS, Cybersecurity).
• 10+ years in aerospace/defense/embedded systems or mission-critical tech.
• Experience in program protection, anti-tamper, or CPI.
• Experience creating system security architectures and requirements.
• Experience with CPI assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability analysis.
• Strong understanding of hardware/firmware embedded software and system integration.
• Experience with systems engineering processes and risk management.
• Strong leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to obtain/maintain U.S. government security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead CPI identification, criticality assessments, and technical protection strategies using DoD guidance.
• Lead anti-tamper engineering activities including threat analysis and implementation planning.
• Define and decompose protection requirements across system levels with traceability.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to integrate protection across aircraft and mission systems.
• Develop PPIP, AT Plans, CPI assessments, and related documentation.
• Evaluate protection options based on effectiveness, cost, and risk.
• Provide SME input during SRR, PDR, CDR and coordinate with government teams.
