Job summary

A leading technology firm in Redmond is seeking a candidate for the Network Reliability team responsible for building and maintaining monitoring solutions in a complex satellite network. Ideal applicants will have over 5 years of experience in systems design, software development, and Linux environments. The position offers a competitive salary range of $151,200 - $204,600 annually, alongside comprehensive benefits including health insurance and a 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience.
• 5+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment.
• 5+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby.
• Experience with building and maintaining network monitoring solutions in production environments.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain processes, procedures, and tooling to monitor, troubleshoot, and operate a global Service Provider network at scale.
• Develop a comprehensive understanding of end-to-end network architecture.
• Establish and enforce incident and problem management processes.
• Engage with service owners to resolve incidents and coordinate cross-functional efforts.
• Prioritize and track initiatives across teams to eliminate recurring problems.
• Develop proactive monitoring and alerting solutions.
