Job summary

Atoms is seeking a Senior Systems Integration and Test Engineer to own the integration path for new vehicle platforms entering our fleet. You will manage the end-to-end process from first article to fleet release, defining validation criteria and correlating bench results with vehicle behavior across multiple platforms.

You will develop procedures and tests to scale future platform variants, working in a hands-on environment in the SF garage, and ensuring stringent hardware-software coherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field required.
• 6+ years in systems integration, diagnostics, or hardware and software interface engineering on vehicles.
• L4 program or production ADAS experience.
• Experience diagnosing failures spanning hardware and software with root cause.
• Ability to correlate hardware symptoms and telemetry data into a timeline.
• Sensor-level troubleshooting depth on cameras, lidar, radar, GNSS and IMU.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle networks, including CAN, CAN FD, Automotive Ethernet, and DTCs.

Responsibilities

• Own first integration and bring-up for new platform variants, sensor and compute generations, and architecture changes.
• Create commissioning procedures from one-off builds to repeatable processes.
• Define and run vehicle-level checks before a release.
• Document relationship between bench results and vehicle behavior for each platform.
• Lead multimodal calibration, time synchronization, and data integrity efforts.
• Lead cross-domain debugging across mechanical, electrical, firmware, network, and autonomy boundaries.
• Write integration guides, troubleshooting trees, and go/no-go criteria for technicians and engineers.
