Job summary

Cerebras is seeking a Senior Systems Engineering Technician to play a critical role in building, testing, and troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical systems. You will work closely with engineers to turn advanced hardware concepts into reality, demonstrating strong proficiency in both assembly and testing.

This position requires 5+ years of experience in appropriate hardware environments, and the ability to handle independently and collaboratively in a dynamic lab setting.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as an engineering technician in mechanical, electrical, or multidisciplinary hardware environments.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong proficiency in mechanical assembly.
• Experience with electrical testing and troubleshooting.
• Experience with water-cooled or fluid-cooled systems.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and mechanical drawings.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving mindset.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble, and align complex mechanical systems.
• Perform electrical diagnostics and troubleshooting.
• Install and test water-cooled subsystems.
• Execute hands-on work in a lab with minimal direction.
• Setup test equipment and log performance data.
• Create or refine build instructions and test procedures.
• Collaborate with engineers to validate designs.
• Maintain safe working practices around high-voltage systems.
