As the Systems Engineering Manager, you and your team will ensure the quality and standards of work achieved in the delivery of systems engineering services are precise, timely and dedicated to meeting our program requirements. This is an onsite position in Everett, Washington.

What you will do:

Lead and develop a high-performing systems engineering team, providing mentorship, technical direction, and performance management. Own system‑level requirements development, flow‑down, verification, and validation for galley, lavatory, and cabin interior products. Ensure integrated system architectures meet performance, safety, reliability, and regulatory requirements. Oversee cross‑functional collaboration with design engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, program management, and OEM & airline customers. Manage system‑level risk identification, mitigation planning, and change control. Champion systems engineering processes, tools, and continuous improvement initiatives. Support aircraft‑level integration efforts, including electrical, structural, and environmental interfaces. Drive compliance with FAA/EASA certification requirements (e.g., Part 25, DO‑160, DO‑178/254 as applicable). Represent systems engineering in internal and external technical reviews, customer meetings, and supplier discussions.

Qualifications You Must Have:

Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 10 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years of experience Experience establishing and managing requirements of complex systems. Hands‑on experience using requirement management tools like Siemens Polarian/ALM. Experience communicating with both customers and suppliers on means of compliance. Proven problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Qualifications We Prefer:

Experience working within FAA/EASA certification environments. Strong understanding of aircraft interior products such as galleys, monuments, and lavatories, including mechanical, electrical, and structural interfaces. Knowledge of model‑based systems engineering (MBSE) tools and techniques.

The salary range for this role is 145,600 USD - 276,800 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
