Job summary

NVIDIA's Automotive Vehicles team is seeking a Systems Engineer to advance perception, mapping and localization for autonomous driving. You will join a world-wide group of engineers to productize safety‑critical perception solutions and help self‑driving cars understand the world.

You will develop requirements from use cases, plan validation, allocate performance budgets, and build dashboards with hardware, safety and product teams.

Qualifications

• MS or PhD in Engineering, Physics, CS, Data Science, or related field.
• 8+ years systems engineering on complex systems, data analysis, and statistical analysis.
• Experience with verification and validation of world model stacks.
• Experience with VLMs, LLMs and agentic workflows for automated triage.
• Data strategy definition and failure analysis methodologies (FTA, MTBF).
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills across large organizations.
• Proficiency in SQL and Python or C++.

Responsibilities

• Develop perception, mapping and localization system requirements from use cases and customer requirements.
• Plan validation and formulate test cases and critical metrics to ensure requirements compliance.
• Test performance and triage results and establish dashboards.
• Work closely with hardware engineering, safety, developers and product teams to build the right product.
• Find innovative solutions to improve processes and establish relationships with partners.
