Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field (BA/BS) is required.
• Minimum 5 years of related experience in engineering IT or systems.
• Must hold TS/SCI w/Poly clearance and US citizenship.
• Provide technical support in networks, software, hardware, configurations, and architectures.

Responsibilities

• Design and define system architecture for new or existing computer systems.
• Maintain workflows and ensure reliable operation of computer systems, including network fixes and updates.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex hardware and software issues.
• Train end users on proper hardware and software usage.
• Perform software installations and upgrades to operating systems and software packages.
• Monitor and tune systems for optimum performance.
• Ensure data integrity and regular backups and archiving.
• Conduct hardware and software audits to ensure compliance with standards.
• Ensure system security meets user needs and regulatory requirements.
• Provide guidance to less-experienced professionals when needed.
• Evaluate existing systems and plan long-term improvements.

MEANINGFUL WORK AND PERSONAL IMPACT

• Designs and defines system architecture for new or existing computer systems
• Maintains an organization's computer systems' workflows and is responsible for the upkeep, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, including fixing network issues along with updating equipment and software
• Troubleshoots moderately complex system hardware and software issues
• Trains end users on the proper use of hardware and software
• Performs software installations and upgrades to operating systems and layered software packages
• Monitors and tunes systems to achieve optimum performance levels
• Ensures workstation/server data integrity by implementing standard software and hardware solutions
• Ensure data/media recoverability by following a schedule of system backups and database archive operations
• Conducts hardware and software audits of workstations and servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines
• Ensures that performance and security of computers meet the needs of network users
• May evaluate existing systems and assist with planning long-term strategies
• May coach and provide guidance to less-experienced professionals

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO SUCCEED

• Education: Bachelor of Arts/Bachelor of Science
• Experience: 5+ years of related experience
• Security clearance level: TS/SCI w/Poly
• US citizenship required
