Job summary

Cherokee Preting (Preting) seeks an experienced Systems Engineer - Expert to integrate, secure, monitor, and troubleshoot enterprise data, network, and cloud environments. Must hold TS/SCI with Full Poly and have 11+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities include data transfer tooling, security controls across cloud environments, and automation using Python/Ansible. Strong Splunk expertise and virtualization experience are essential for reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with Full Polygraph clearance is required.
• Minimum of eleven (11) years of relevant experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• AWS Certified Security Specialty is required.
• Experience integrating diverse data streams and data transfer tools (NiFi, Cribl).
• Experience analyzing complex networks and log data from multiple systems.
• Knowledge of shared networks and multiple security enclaves.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and manage data streams across enterprise networks and systems.
• Configure, operate, and troubleshoot data transfer tools (NiFi, Cribl).
• Establish data standards for IT and service delivery data sets and feeds.
• Analyze networks and systems and log data from components and OSs.
• Monitor and resolve issues impacting data feeds and network visibility.
• Support multi-enclave environments with complex access requirements.
• Use Splunk to collect, analyze, correlate, and investigate data.
• Develop automation scripts using Python, ShellScript, Ansible, or similar tools.
• Implement SecDevOps and cloud security controls across AWS, Azure, and hybrid clouds.
• Support PKI implementation, STIG compliance, vulnerability management, and hardening.
• Engineer and support virtualization (VDI, VMware).
• Provide systems engineering and network analysis expertise to improve reliability and security.
