Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology in Herndon, VA is seeking a Systems Engineer to apply the latest technology and deliver actionable intelligence for the Intelligence Community. You’ll support the deployment of systems and capabilities centered on our motion imagery software suite and operate a non-internet accessible on-prem hybrid environment built primarily on Kubernetes.

The role requires an active TS/SCI with Polygraph, 10+ years of DevOps experience, and a degree in Engineering.

Qualifications

Active TS/SCI with Polygraph clearance is required.
10+ years of related DevOps engineering experience.
Bachelor's or Technology degree in Engineering or equivalent.
Experience applying DevSecOps principles and continuous delivery.
Experience building and securing containers in dynamic environments.
Familiarity with Kubernetes-based environments and related tooling.

Responsibilities

Provide an array of DevOps skills and support to engineering teams.
Develop and/or script with Bash, Python, Java, or C#.
Maintain Linux OS environments and source control practices.
Work with container technologies and container registries in a Kubernetes environment.
Use automation tools such as Ansible and Jenkins and manage builds with Gradle or Maven.
Collaborate across teams to deploy workloads using Helm and related tooling.
