Job summary

Base-2 Solutions is seeking a Systems Engineer in Annapolis Junction, MD, to analyze user requirements, lead design activities, and develop system requirements specifications. The role interacts with Government stakeholders and ensures technical integrity of deliverables throughout the system life cycle.

The candidate will guide architecture development, perform feasibility analyses, and contribute to system engineering plans and test plans, with a focus on DoDAF/SOA-compliant solutions.

Qualifications

• 14+ years of experience as a Systems Engineer in similar scope/complexity.
• Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, CS, or related field; 5 years more experience may substitute.
• Experience with Linux (command line, troubleshooting, basic bash scripting).
• Experience with VMware vSphere, Cisco NXOS, IOS or ACI, NetApp storage, and Puppet.
• Ability to develop System Engineering documentation (Plans, Requirements, Interface Control Documents).
• Ability to manage system requirements to ensure delivery of production systems aligned with DoDAF and SOA.

Responsibilities

• Analyze user requirements and high-level system architectures to develop system requirements specifications.
• Lead design and development activities based on system requirements.
• Guide users in formulating requirements and assess alternative approaches.
• Provide technical leadership for integration of requirements, design, and technology.
• Develop technical documentation including system architecture and design.

Education

Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering Science, Engineering Management, or related discipline
