Job summary

Castalia Systems is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to provide enterprise-wide systems engineering and integration support to an operational government customer within the Intelligence Community (IC).

The Senior Systems Engineer will manage moderately sized projects, coordinate complex system modifications, and deliver actionable technical input to new products and processes, while thriving in a fast-paced SCIF environment with flexible work hours to meet mission requirements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical discipline.
• 8+ years of relevant systems engineering, systems integration, or technical project experience.
• Experience supporting complex government, defense, intelligence, or mission-critical systems.
• Experience across the system lifecycle in systems engineering and integration.
• Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders on technical projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical information to technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Provide systems engineering and systems integration support across an enterprise operational environment.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, schedule, and implement systems engineering projects from concept to system transition.
• Manage moderately sized systems integration projects with minimal supervision and ensure alignment with objectives.
• Support installation, integration, checkout, testing, modification, and upgrade of operational systems.
• Analyze requirements, issues, constraints, and integration challenges to identify solutions.
• Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, technical docs, integration/test plans.
• Provide technical data to government customers to support decisions on modifications and readiness.
• Coordinate activities among government personnel, contractors, system owners, engineers, and stakeholders.
• Communicate with stakeholders at multiple levels and facilitate resolution of issues.
• Provide recommendations and influence policies, standards, and practices at the operational level.

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related technical discipline
