Job summary

Johnson & Johnson in Boston, MA is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer – Navigation R&D for a hybrid role. You will own system requirements, risk analysis, and interface definitions across software, hardware, and clinical partners to deliver safe, reliable navigation solutions.

You will collaborate with software, hardware, human factors, and regulatory teams, mentor junior engineers, and support design reviews and regulatory deliverables. Hybrid work with travel up to 10%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Systems/Biomedical/Electrical/Mechanical/Robotics/Mechatronics engineering or related field.
• 5+ years in systems engineering in medical devices or regulated industry.
• Experience with Design Controls, requirements management, and risk management.

Responsibilities

• Author and maintain system and subsystem requirements with traceability across features.
• Perform system-level risk analysis including FMEA and use risk analyses.
• Define interfaces and perform system integration and verification activities.
• Develop use cases and workflows with clinical, marketing, and human factors partners to capture user needs.
• Support regulatory submissions and DHF deliverables.
