Job summary

B. Braun Medical Inc. is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to lead the technical program for next-generation robotic digital 3D surgical microscopes. You will shape product concepts, support existing products, and contribute to design documents including risk analysis and architecture.

The role requires a Bachelor’s degree with 3–5 years of related experience, strong analysis and documentation skills, and collaboration with regulatory and product teams to ensure MDR and FDA readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or equivalent work experience.
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports and present information clearly.
• Broad knowledge of engineering concepts (EE, ME, SW, data analysis, modeling); experience with regulatory and EMC testing is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical proof of concepts of emerging medical technologies to develop and refine products.
• Lead system architectural development of next generation medical products across electrical, optical, mechanical, and software domains.
• Create system level documentation to organize architectures, strategies and risk mitigation.
• Develop system level requirements to cover performance and verification.
• Coordinate regulatory testing and submissions worldwide, including MDR and FDA.
• Maintain traceability between requirements and verification via IOVV matrix.
