Job summary

RTX in Aurora, CO seeks a Principal Systems Engineer – Product Manager to lead a satellite ground systems platform within an Agile Release Train. You will own the product backlog, define strategy, and collaborate with System Architects, Systems Engineers, RTEs, and Product Owners to translate mission priorities into executable features.

Lead backlog refinement, roadmap development, PI Planning, and cross‑team coordination while tracking progress with Agile metrics.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) or equivalent experience.
8+ years of relevant experience in product or systems engineering within classified, DoD, or IC environments.
Experience in Agile environments including ART execution and Jira/Confluence use.
Experience with ground‑systems, space operations, or mission‑planning systems.
Knowledge of SAFe Agile practices and PMPO certification or similar.

Responsibilities

Define and communicate product vision, strategy, and roadmap to align with program objectives.
Act as liaison between stakeholders and the ART, translating priorities into executable work.
Collaborate with System Architects, Engineers, RTEs, and Product Owners to decompose requirements into features.
Lead backlog refinement, roadmaps, and cross‑team dependency coordination for PI Planning.
Monitor feature delivery and program performance using Agile metrics and stakeholder feedback.
Mentor Product Owners and support resource planning and staff alignment.
Lead Agile ceremonies including PI Planning, System Demos, Inspect & Adapt, and backlog refinement.
