Job summary

Columbia Technology Partners is seeking a highly experienced Systems Engineer to design, develop, integrate, and enhance mission-focused systems across programs. The role requires balancing technical, schedule, cost, and performance considerations while driving innovative solutions.

Responsibilities include creating technical specifications, monitoring milestones with leadership, and applying MBSE tools and modeling to ensure cohesive, repeatable outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum of fifteen (15) years performing Senior System Engineer (Level 6) functions.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or Mathematics required; substitutions allowed by experience.
• U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain security clearance; DOD 8570 certification is required.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate across organizations to develop mission-focused solutions.
• Create technical specs including cost, schedule, and performance impacts.
• Monitor project schedules and performance with program leaders.
• Establish technical milestones and build stakeholder consensus.
• Apply Lean/Agile methodologies across programs.
• Integrate engineering practices to deliver cohesive outcomes.
• Lead data standards and processing capabilities aligned with NSA needs.
• Develop and maintain architecture using MBSE tools (Cameo/MagicDraw).
• Document complex information clearly with high attention to detail.
• Apply data science, applied mathematics, and systems engineering to large-scale fusion challenges.
