Job summary

KBR seeks a highly experienced Systems Engineer for an on-site role in Virginia, supporting mission-critical IT and cybersecurity initiatives. The position requires TS/SCI with polygraph, a Bachelor’s degree, and 15+ years of related experience.

You will define and manage technical requirements across the system lifecycle on challenging government projects. As part of KBR’s National Security Solutions, you will collaborate with engineers and stakeholders to deploy complex technical solutions,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI with a Polygraph is required.
• Bachelor's degree is required.
• 15+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience documenting and managing technical requirements as part of a team or individually.
• Experience implementing IT and cybersecurity best practices in a professional environment.
• Demonstrated knowledge of system implementation and deployment concepts.
• Experience working with commercial technologies and COTS solutions.
• Ability to support multiple technical efforts in an evolving, requirements-driven environment.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience producing and maintaining technical documentation (requirements, design artifacts, implementation notes).

Responsibilities

• Manage, develop, and deploy technical solutions to address defined system and customer requirements.
• Develop, track, and manage technical requirements throughout the system lifecycle.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and stakeholders to support evolving and shifting technical requirements.
• Ensure solutions align with IT and cybersecurity best practices, organizational standards, and implementation guidelines.
• Support system implementation, integration, testing, and deployment activities in operational environments.
